Sean Matthew Whitfield is a passionate entrepreneur and the visionary behind “Sippin Local” and “Smokin Local.” Inspired by his mother’s battle with Multiple Sclerosis, Sean witnessed firsthand the profound relief cannabis brought her, significantly improving her quality of life. Motivated by these experiences, Sean set out to create a brand that not only celebrates the benefits of cannabis but also raises awareness about its potential when used responsibly. For Sean, cannabis has been a transformative force in his own life, helping him overcome his struggle with alcohol.

The “Sippin” aspect of his brand has a deeply personal connection as well. When Sean was just 14 years old, his mother introduced him to the vibrant world of blues and reggae at Sippin’ E’s Blues Bar in Joliet, IL. That early exposure left a lasting impression, sparking his lifelong love for these genres. Through “Sippin Local,” Sean aims to honor that connection while fostering a fun and inviting community for those who share his passions.

In addition to his work with Sippin and Smokin Local, Sean Co-Founded a Marketing Agnecy and EcoHaven Landscaping and Ponds, where he applies his leadership and creative vision to drive success.

Looking to give back in meaningful ways, Sean is launching a podcast through “Sippin’ and Smokin Local,” where he interviews others that saw cannabis help change their lives and others around them to break the bad stigma that weed has gotten over the years and decades. We also interview venders of festivals and small business owners with incredible stories. It’s an extension of his mission to uplift and inspire others, showcasing the stories of those who pour their hearts into their work.

Known for his creative spirit, Sean loves to design crazy, unique t-shirts that reflect his fun-loving personality. No matter where his travels take him, he’s always looking for opportunities to give back to the communities he visits.

At his core, Sean believes in living authentically and encouraging others to do the same. He wants more people to embrace their true colors, free from ego, with a focus on love, giving back, and lifting others up. For Sean, life is short, and it’s meant to be lived fully—so go out and live it!
